Study of proteolytic enzymes involved in physiological and pathological processes.

 

Our proposal is to study different classes of proteolytic enzymes, aiming a better understanding of the participation of proteases in physiological and pathophysiological processes. We work mainly on the following topics:

​

- Plasmodium falciparum biology;

- Angiotensin I-converting enzyme;

- Cysteine cathepsins;

- Development of inhibitors.
